EAGLE SOLUTIONS
Varga Cseppek is a family business that has been making herbal hair, skin and foot care products since 2002. On their WordPress + WooCommerce store (Elementor, JetEngine) I handle the updates and bug fixes, working directly for them: the goal is a shop that runs stably alongside a loyalty points programme, free gift products, a hair care quiz, parcel locker pickup and customer reviews.
The challenge
Varga Cseppek is a family business: the founder, Miklós Varga, started making herbal tinctures in the 1990s because of his own hair loss, and the company has been producing and selling them since 2002. The range covers hair, scalp, face and foot care, and the online store is one of the business's main sales channels. I did not build this store: I handle its updates and bug fixes, working directly for the owners, without an agency in between.
My contribution
- Updating WordPress, WooCommerce, Elementor and the plugins.
- Fixing bugs when something does not work as it should. The owners report them to me directly.
The result
The store can be kept up to date despite its many interdependent plugins, and when a bug turns up there is someone to turn to who knows the system. The owners can focus on the products and the customers, not on plugin version numbers.
Why updating a store like this is risky
On this WooCommerce install, a loyalty points programme, a free gift product in the cart, a custom checkout page, parcel locker pickup, customer reviews, a newsletter connection, conversion tracking and a hair care quiz all run on it at once. Each of them reaches into the purchase process, and a single update can change how any two of them work together. That is why I consider an update done only when the cart, the checkout and the order confirmation work exactly as they did before.
A direct line, a short path
A small family company has no in-house IT person and no agency project manager. If something is wrong at checkout or on a product page, the owner writes to me directly instead of waiting in a ticketing system. For an online store this short path is not a matter of convenience: as long as the bug is live, some of the orders are lost.
