I contributed to the development of the Evolut Agency website, an international marketing agency working with beauty, supplement and longevity brands.
The challenge
Evolut Agency works with international beauty, supplement and longevity brands, clients who make their living from how things look. An agency's own website is both a work sample and a matter of trust: if it is slow or dated, it calls the quality of the service into question. The goal was an English-language site for an international audience that holds its own next to the brands' own material.
The solution
- A WordPress base in which copy and case presentations can be updated by the agency's own team, without involving a developer.
- Mobile-first build: decision-makers look at a potential partner on their phone first.
- Speed optimisation, because on a visually rich site working with large images this is the advantage most easily lost.
- Technical SEO foundations: clean title structure, descriptions, sitemap, structured data.
My contribution
I worked on the development side of this project as a partner, not as sole author. The design and brand strategy are the agency's own work. My part was the technical quality of the implementation: making sure the design loads fast, works properly on mobile, and stays maintainable over the long term.
The result
The agency manages its own content, and the site does not draw attention to itself through its loading time. I keep this reference in the portfolio because several years of day-to-day partnership stand behind it.
What makes an agency website hard?
A marketing agency's website carries a double load. It works as a work sample: visitors draw conclusions about the quality of the service from what the agency allows itself on its own site. And it keeps growing: a new case study, a new article, a new team member, a new service area. If the structure cannot take that growth, the site fragments within six months and every addition needs a developer. So the emphasis was on the recurring content types (case study, article, service, team member) more than on one spectacular home page. These can be extended from the admin with consistent templates.
Case studies and professional content
In the beauty, supplement and longevity market a decision maker rarely requests a quote on the first visit. They read a case study or two, look at a research piece, and only then get in touch. The site is therefore built so that professional content is not a secondary blog section but part of the structure: material that can be browsed by category, that cross-references itself and that leads back to the service pages. In the long run this is the cheapest acquisition channel, because content already written keeps working for years.
International audience, fast loading
With an international client base, visitors are not half an hour away from the server room and do not necessarily have a good connection. On a visually rich site working with large images, speed is the first thing to go. Image formats, loading order and font handling were therefore not an afterthought but the starting condition.
My contribution over the long run
The project is still ongoing: several years of day-to-day partnership stand behind it. I take part on the development side, building new sections, maintaining existing ones and keeping the speed up. The design and brand strategy are the agency's own work.
